Este es el tercer single de su disco “Back to bassics” que actualmente está promocionando y que está inspirado en la música de los años 30 y 40 fusionando estilos como el soul, blues y jazz.
En “Candyman”, tenemos una pieza movidita (un up-tempo) y todo un tributo a las Andrew Sisters.
En videoclip es estupendo, con una fotografía excelente. El director del videoclip, Matthew Rolston, se merece un premio por esta maravilla donde nos traslada a la época de la segunda guerra mundial con una Christina Aguilera encarnado a chicas pin-up. Es lo que más me gusta de todo. Aunque también cabe decir que Christina ha co-dirigido el clip.
En el video se pueden ver a tres Christinas Aguileras integradas en el mismo escenario, aunque cada una de diferente color de pelo: una rubia, una morena y una pelirroja. Christina fue filmada tres veces bajo cada personalidad y repetió la coreografía mientras una cámara de movimiento registraba las escenas.
El equipo RIOT de Santa Monica y Nueva York, aplicó más de 100 efectos infográficos al video para dotarle de esa luminosidad y limpieza, y todo ello en una semana. Se empleó por ejemplo, el rotoscoping en cada fotograma virtual para crear los efectos necesarios.
Christina alquiló un aeropuerto en España para la filmación, que se realizó el 28 de Enero de este año 2007. Mencion aparte la inclusión de Linda Evangelista ofreciendo Campari a los marineros.
