E.G. Daily - Say it, say it

Esta canción de Elizabeth Daily fue publicada en 1986, y aunque no llegó más que al número 70 de la lista Billboard HOT 100, sí logró el número 1 en la lista Hot Dance Music/Club Play. Este trabajo fue producido por John «Jellybean» Benitez y co-producido por Stephen Bray (que eran colaboradores de los años mozos de Madonna, de hecho suena mucho a «Spotlight» (era 86-87 Mad0nnera)), siendo publicado por el sello A&M Records.

El vídeo es muy gracioso, donde podemos ver cómo un escritor busca habitación para vivir en una casa compartida, y llega a la casa de una mujer cuya hija es una lolita muy sugerente. De hecho, el vídeo es un homenaje a la película «Lolita» (1962) de Vladimir Nabokov, dirigida por Stanley Kubrick.

El hombre pierde la cabeza poco a poco por esta joven en sucesivos encandilamientos y ensoñaciones, a los cuales la madre es ajena. La chica parece provocarle, aunque es sólo su imaginación. El final es un poco tortuoso, y es que el amor es así de esquivo. Y a todo esto… ¿quién escribe la historia en la máquina de escribir?
